Top 5 Ice Machine Rental in Cleveland, OH

Distillata is a fourth-generation family water company, working from the same downtown Cleveland location since 1897, and they rent ice and water dispensers alongside their bottled water delivery. Of the founding dates we could confirm, none comes within sixty years of theirs. They are also the only company we found publishing a price for their ice program, a $150 installation they waive when you rent for three months or more. And they alone publish loaner units while a machine is out for repair. But their largest unit makes less ice in a day than the smallest bin machine anyone else here rents. Because their no-contract promise is written for water delivery, we recommend you ask whether that also applies to the ice dispenser.

Bottleless Nation, still listed on Google Maps under their old name of Office H2O, is an Indianapolis water and ice company with a service branch on the south side of Cleveland. They are the only company we checked renting machines under the Scotsman name. And they are one of only two here placing bin machines that make cube ice. Reviewers of the Cleveland branch keep naming the same local technician and describing quick visits. They handle installation, sanitizing and filter changes as part of the service. But we did not find repairs on that list. So ask whether a repair visit is billed on top of the monthly rate.

Culligan Quench is the workplace water and ice rental arm of Culligan, serving Cleveland from a branch in Bedford Heights. They are the only company we found writing repairs from normal wear into the monthly fee, along with twice-yearly maintenance. And their range runs further than anyone else's here, from countertop dispensers up to ice baggers that make almost a ton a day. They are a separate business from the Culligan water treatment dealer in Brooklyn Heights, so make sure you dial Quench. But complaints filed with the BBB against their head office keep returning to rate increases and cancellation terms. We would advise getting the monthly rate and any cap on increases in writing before you sign.

Aramark Refreshments is the workplace refreshments division of Aramark, placing ice and water machines from a market center in Oakwood Village. They are the only company we found committing to a repair window, one business day to fix or replace a machine. And nobody else here can bill ice on the same invoice as snacks and vending. But the filter itself sits outside the contract, so you buy one at every quarterly or twice-yearly change. We could not find reviews of their Cleveland branch. So we suggest asking which filter they will fit and what each one costs.

Glacier Hydration is a Berea company renting hands-free water and ice coolers to businesses across Northeast Ohio. They are the only company we verified with a base on the west side of the metro, near the airport. And they are one of only two locally owned companies here. Their ice line is also the narrowest, just two water and ice coolers. But we found no founding year, no published terms and no reviews for them anywhere. Ask how long they have been renting ice machines and what the monthly rate includes.
